Thule Hitching Post Pro Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro and seeing how it fits on our 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. This is gonna be a hanging style bike rack that holds the bike by the frame hanging below the rest of the rack. Two points of contact up top are gonna keep it in place with the cradles and rubber straps. And then we've got a third one around the seat post here limiting our side to side movement as our anti-sway cradle. Now with the hanging style bike rack there are gonna be some limitations. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Rack's Destination 2 bike rack, and seeing how it fits in the back of our 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. This is gonna be a platform style bike rack, and a really good entry level platform rack in my opinion. This one's going to get you started carrying a good range of different styles of bikes. Really, we wanna avoid carbon frame bikes because it does make frame contact with the bike, but alternative frame, and kids' bikes are gonna work really well for this rack. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Hi, everyone. Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT Premium four-bike rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2019 Chrysler Pacifica. This is going to be a hanging style bike rack, holding the bike by the frame and letting the rest of the rack, or the bike hang down below the rack. There's two main points of contact holding it in place, these two straps on the top holding it down into the cradles, and the third one on the side here as an anti-sway cradle just to help limit the side to side movement and bike to bike contact. They do make a five-bike version of this that has a slightly boosted weight capacity. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
How's it going It's Ethan here with etrailer. Right now we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman CURRENT hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. It's going to be designed specifically for your e-bike usages so it's gonna be a platform rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 60 pounds a piece. It's going to hold onto our bike primarily with these frame hooks here in the middle as well as one strap on either tire, front and back. So if you do wanna mix and match and use this with your carbon frame bikes we'd recommend against it because it is putting that down force on your frame, could potentially damage it while you're driving. But if you have an alternative frame style they do go all the way up and down the center mass so they should be able to accommodate that pretty well. more

This is going to be the two-bike version, but there is an available add-on to make it a three-bike version as well. It's going to be a platform style bike rack capable of supporting, in this case, two bikes up to 60 pounds a piece. It's gonna hold onto our bike with this dual wheel mount design. So we have one hoop on the back, one hoop on the front tire, so there's no frame contact at all. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica RKY10004- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail two-bike platform style bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. This is the two-bike version but there is a three-bike version available as well. You just add on that one piece to make it a three-bike if you want that, but it's going to be a platform style rack like I mentioned, which means it holds our bike up by the bottom through these trays and cradles. It has a weight capacity of 60 pounds per bike, and it's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with this front wheel mount here and one additional strap down at the bottom. So there's no frame contact. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination four bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. This is going to be a platform style bike rack a very good entry level way for you to get up to four bikes up to 35 pounds a piece where you need 'em to go. It's gonna hold onto our bike primarily with these rotated padded clamps on our center mast here as well as one strap on the back and one strap on the front. So we do make frame contact although it's not pushing directly down. Still wouldn't recommend using carbon frame bikes just 'cause it does still have that potential to damage frame while you're driving. more

Hey, it Ethan in here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Premium hitch bike rack, how it fits on our 2022 Chrysler Pacifica. It's going to be a four-bike hanging-style bike rack which means it's gonna hold the bike primarily from the top tube here and let the rest of the bike hang down. It's gonna be able to support 180 pounds total, four bikes, it's got this taper at the end which should help you accommodate some kids' bikes, but if you do have a carbon frame bike we wouldn't recommend using something like this just cuz it is primarily held by the frame, could potentially take damage while you're driving. Alternative frame bikes you might have to pick up a bike adapter bar. The taper at the end should help you not need that for kids bikes as much, but still a chance you might have to pick one up kind of how hanging-style racks are. more

This is a great bike rack, especially if you have to install and uninstall a bike rack by yourself regularly, because it's really light and it has an easy, breezy, almost effortless way of mounting and dismounting the bike. If you want to bring a bunch of bikes out on your adventure, you can bring one, two, three, and four bikes on this rack. It is designed in a unique way. If you can see here, it tapers smaller towards the end and that's designed so that it can fit children's bikes a lot better since their frames are shorter. Hi, everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks, TRS SE 2 platform style bike rack on our 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. So this is going to be a great bike rack if you need to get two bikes to and from a destination and especially if those two bikes are carbon fiber bikes. It's going to be a no frame contact bike rack, which is definitely a plus for some of those more sensitive frames that you may have.We are going to have two tie-down points per bike. We're going to have obviously our wheel hook upfront, and then we're going to have our little strap around back. The nice thing about the strap in the back is just the fact that we are going to be able to move this throughout the portion here of the bike rack. more

So, let's go over some features of it, show you how it interacts with your Pacifica.Now, this is a hanging style bike rack, so you're going to be able to get four bikes loaded onto it. It's going to hold your bikes by the top tubes and it's just going to be a really nice way to get your bikes to and from the destination. What's nice about this hanging style bike rack is that there's actually a very good amount of spacing between the cradles right here. So the Chrysler does have a lot of seats in it, so a two bike rack isn't necessarily going to get a bike for everybody, but if you're ever going to the park or something like that and you just plan on having at least just one or two people going and riding, I think this will be a good choice for you guys. There's a couple of features I want to go over, but one is just the fact that we do have three tied on points per bike, one being a anti sway cradle, so whenever we're starting or stopping it's going to help this bike from either hitting a center mast or just clanking into each other.So we can go ahead and take this bike off the rack. Yes, this one does carry five bikes to and from the destination, so that is probably why it would be a good choice for this Pacifica, we can fit a lot of people and if they all have bikes, this was probably our best bet to get them to and from our destination. There is a four bike rack version available and it does have three different colors, black as you see here, it's also going to have bronze and blue.So, if you like that look or if it matches your vehicle, definitely go ahead and pick the color you want. So, other than that, let's start with .. The main feature with this hanging style bike rack is the fact that we can actually tilt with the bikes installed, all we got to do is pull this little trigger here and tilt it away. more

This one in particular, I'm showing this today just because it does have a significant rise to our shank, but we do have a 4-bike rack version as well. So, if you don't think you'll be going up any steep driveways or off-roading, I do think the 4-bike rack version would be a good choice just because this thing can hold quite a bit of passengers. But, if you guys are just planning on taking two bikes with you, maybe even off-road or something like that, this one's going to have a little bit more ground clearance than some of the others.So, let's go ahead and just talk about how it straps into our bike. RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test fitting the RockyMounts backstage two-bike platform rack for 2-inch hitches, part number RKY10002. Now, this has a lot of good features to it.The most important feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt or swing away from the vehicle to gain rear hatch access. The tilt feature works like any other. You have a blue handle up at the front here. You pull that out, and this is nice to have it in this area here, as opposed to some bike racks which have it towards the front here, where if you have two bikes installed, it's a little hard to get to that area. We'll pull out, let it tilt towards us, and then we have rear hatch access. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, we're gonna be test fitting the Rockymounts monorail two bike platform rack for 2" hitches, part number RKY10004. We already have our bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look here and like most platform style racks, this can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached to gain rear hatch access. What Rockymounts' changed up with this one in particular is how they do that. Instead, they have this blue handle at the end, which makes it a lot easier to get to when both bikes are attached, as opposed to that latch that's closer up towards the front that can be kind of difficult if you have bikes attached. You'll pull that out while holding onto the bike rack like so and let it come towards you and then we have rear hatch access and as this opens up, you're gonna notice it's very close to the bike. more

Speaker 1: Today on 2018 Chrysler Pacifica we're going to test fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy Four Bike Rack for 2" Hitches, part number Y02464. We already have it installed on our vehicle. And this is a pretty unique bike rack in that it's a hanging style that can completely swing away from the vehicle, giving you full hatch access. And you can do this with all four biked still attached. It's very easy to do. You come to the back side first, there's going to be a handle that you'll loosen up all the way, like so. more

Today on our 2008 Chrysler Town and Country, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Classic 2 Bike Platform Rack, part number TH9044. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the most prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached to gain rear hatch access. To do that, we'll first pull this silver pin at the base and then come to this lever, pull towards us while holding onto the bike rack, let it come forward and down. Now we have hatch access. However, I would like to point out, if your handle bars are any longer than this, it may make contact with your hatch. You can also see that we have plenty of space on either side in between the bike rack and the vehicle to get what we need as well. more

Today on our 2008 Chrysler Town & Country, we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Pro XTB Two-Bike Platform Rack, part number TH9034XT We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with both bikes still attached to get rear hatch access. To do that, we have this convenient handle up here at the front. What you do is you pull it towards you holding onto the bike rack, let it come down. Unfortunately, with this particular year, make, and model, it will make contact with the handlebars as you can see there, but you do have partial access to your rear hatch. To put it back in its original position, just grab it by the handle, lift up until you hear the click. more

Today on our Chrysler Town and Country, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack, that part number is: TH990XT. Now we all ready have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we secure it in place. At the front and back tire, we have cam buckle straps. These are going to be cam down with the gray portion. We just push down on that, lift straight up to release it. To loosen our strap, we're going to push on the top portion of the black piece, and we will just pull that strap straight out. more

Today on our 2016 Chrysler Town and Country we're doing a test fit of the Thule Hitching Post Pro Hanging Style 4 Bike Rack. That part number is TH934XTR. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we secure it in place. So we have three straps all together. We've got two over the top portion of our frame, and we have one as our anti-sway strap in the back. Pro Series Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Today on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica we're going to be test fitting the Pro-Series Q-Slot platform style two and four bike rack, part number PS63138. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that you can actually remove this rear section here just to make it a two bike version. How it holds your bike in place, we're going to have three points of contact. We're going to have two hook and loop straps on each wheel, and then we're going to have this frame hook up at the top which is padded. It's padded to ensure that your bike does not get scratched up once it's being installed. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

Softride Element-Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Today in our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test-fitting the Softride Element Parallelogram Tilting Bike Rack for inch and a quarter and two-inch hitches, part number SR26248. We already have our bike installed on our rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. The most prominent feature of this bike rack is the fact that this can actually tilt away from the vehicle with all four bikes still attached, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style bike rack. To do that, you come on the passenger side here at the mast, pull out the black T-handle, let it tilt away, and now we have full access to our rear hatch to get what we need, and plenty of space on either side to do so. We'll just push it back up into its original position until you hear a click like that. Some of the other features we have here, there are two reflective surfaces on the end here, as well as two points to attach any cable lock that you might want, to secure your bikes to the rack. The cradles are adjustable and have grooves on the side here so that your cables and things like that will actually go through those instead of being smashed by the frame. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Today on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test-fitting the Thule Vertex swing-out bike rack, part number TH9031XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go take a closer look and show off some of the features. The first and most prominent feature is the fact that this bike rack can swing out away from the vehicle so you can gain rear hatch access without having to take the bikes off, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style bike rack. To do that, we'll first loosen up this knob at the rear, take it out all the way, lift up on this T-handle here, and it will start to swing out. Once you get to about the 90-degree portion of it, turn it in, and you hear a little click, and then just simply push it the rest of the way. First, we'll have to remove this T-handle here in the center, and then re-insert it here. Now we have full access to our rear hatch to do what we need and plenty of space to do so. more

Yakima SwingDaddy Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2017 Chrysler Pacifica- Video
Today on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Swingdaddy 4 bike rack for two inch hitches, part number Y02464. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. First off, and the most improminent feature of this back rack, is the fact that it can swing away from the vehicle to give you full hatch access without having to remove the bikes, which is pretty unique for a hang style bike rack. To do that, you come to the back here where you have this handle, unscrew it, and lift up on this knob here to release it. Then we'll start bringing it out. Once we get to just about 90 degrees here, we're going to go ahead and swing this part around until you hear a click. Once you hear that, it's locked into this position and then you simply push it out the rest of the way. Now we have full access to our rear hatch to get what we need. To fold it back in its original position, it's very easy. more

Today in our 2014 Chrysler Town & Country we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2 Platform Style 2 Bike Rack. That's part number HR1000. I've already got it loaded up on the Town & Country just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our two bikes. It actually secures them with three points of contact. We have our rubberized frame hook that goes over our top tube putting down pressure on the whole bike into our front and rear cradles. Then we've got a hook and loop strap that goes over our wheels, keeping everything in place. Not a bad way to secure our bikes. more

Yakima HoldUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Chrysler Town and Country- Video
Today on our 2014, Chrysler Town and Country, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Yakima Holdup Platform Style Two Bike Rack. That's part number Y02443. I've already got it loaded up just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to hold our two bikes. The nice thing is it actually holds our bikes with zero frame contact. We have these wheel hook going over our front wheel putting down pressure into the front wheel cradle. For our rear wheel, we've got a strap going over the top and a ratchet strap keeps it down and secure. We don't have to worry about any scratches or any harm coming to our frame so it's a really nice feature if you've got a carbon fiber bike like what we have here. more
